I was real excited about this adr until I recently looked at their menu again. We're going in one week :cool1: , and I can't find anything I want (Big problem, huh? ;) ). I am looking for an entree (not picky except I don't like lamb) and a desert. My DH says I'm at the 100th level of planning, but what the heck - its fun!

Hi :)

I am a really, really (did I mention really?) picky eater so I was worried when my parents decided they were taking us to dinner at Raglan Road. I ordered the Posh Pan Chicken and loved it!

Have a great trip!

we like the dalkey duo as an appetizer and we've also had granny's soup - those are both very good. And I really liked their fish and chips - nothing fancy but quite tasty.

if you like bread pudding order that for dessert - Raglan Road has delicious bread pudding!

as far as drinks go, the Celtic Sangria is excellent; if you like beer but can't choose just one try a beer sampler.

Just had the "jus chicken" on Wednesday of last week, and it was great! DD had the Goats Town salad (I think that's what it was called) and she loved it!!
DH had Kevin's Ham and while he didn't care for the accompaniments, he said that the ham was the best he's ever tasted.

I had a lighter dessert which had berries, pavlova cookies, champagne, and ice cream. Sorry, can't remember the name!! But it was very very good.

If you like bread pudding, Ger's is excellent and HUGE!!!!! Enough to share!

Thanks for the suggestions! I missed the celtic sangria while purusing the menu :) . NOW, I'm even more excited ;) .

We were there twice on our last trip. I had the beef stew and the bangers and mash. The bangers and mash also had some beef stew instead of gravy. I'd get either again. DW had the fish and chips and the shepards pie. The fries with the fish and chips were excellent and the fish was supposedly good (I don't like fish so I wouldn't know :)). I believe the shepards pie had lamb in it and it was our least favorite of the 4 dishes.

For desert, go around the corner for a doh-bar

I'll have a current (last week) version of the menu, assuming the pictures came out okay, included in my RR review, hopefully being posted over the weekend.
(I haven't found any of the WDW sites to have a very current menu).

That being said, the sheperds pie and guinness stew were very good as of late. The fish and chips are reliable enough.
The calamari appetizer is very good, but dalkey duo and scallops forest are better.

For dessert, there is no question, try the bread & butter pudding. Excellent!

I had the Celtic Sangria last trip for the first time, and it was out of this world good. I chased it with the beer sampler.:thumbsup2

I have eaten here twice and both times it was very good! I loved the chicken pie (lots of chicken) and the scallop forest is my favorite appetizer. My friend had the chowder and she said it was very good. She also liked the goat cheese appetizer. My mom had the shepards pie, she said is was good but that the meat was minced, which she thought was a little different, but she is a very plain eater.

Don't forget to get an Irish Coffee. YUM!

Raglan road has some good choices I think. I like the paddys pork (pork loin with a sausage meat stuffing). The steak is very good, as are the fish and chips. There is also an excellent burger on the lunch and late night menu, but I think they can do that all day.

The Celtic Sangria is 'based' by Strongbow Cider, rather than wine. It has fruit liquores (sp) added to it. Different than traditional sangria, and a refreshingly different beverage at that. Excellent!!

The one time that we ate their I had the Paddy's pork (pork with sausage). It was excellent! I really enjoyed it. My DW had the sheperds pie and my parents both had the fish 'n chips. They all were very happy with their meals. As for desert, I had the bread pudding. It's served in a big coffee mug and was outstanding. Without a doubt, the best bread pudding that i've ever had! We enjoyed our meal at Raglen Road so much that we are going again this year!:)

I love traditional sangria, so it sounds like something I'd probably enjoy. :)

Thanks. I'm really excited - only 6 more days  . Is the Celtic Sangria sweet and fruity?
