Raglan Road Irish Music and Dance

I love Irish music! For those of you who have been to Raglan Road, can you tell me if they have live Irish music? Same band every night? When do they begin playing? What about Irish dancers?

We were there a couple of weekends ago. There was a four piece band, 2 guitars, accordian and something else that I could not make out. Maybe it was just the singer. Anyway, the band was good and every couple of songs a young woman would stand on a raised platform in the middle of the room and "riverdance".

We were there 2 weeks ago or so and the band that night was amazing! Mostly instrumental - I heard that various bands would be booked to play so it would be changing. These guys were great!

They had a few dancers that took turns dancing on the bar in the middle of the room at times - maybe every 30 minutes or so they'd dance a song?

I don't think the music and such happens until later at night so I'd call to make sure you'll catch them.

Raglan Road opened on October 21st at Pleasure Island. It is located where the Jazz Club was formerly. You do not need to be going to PI to go to Ragland Road. Hope this helps

Does anyone know what time the music starts? I hope it is early enough for the kids to be able to enjoy too. Say 6 or 7 p.m.? Otherwise it will have to wait for when they are older. Also, before the band begins playing is there recorded Irish music?

That is correct..the music starts at 9pm.

If you are in for dinner, they invite you to just kick back at your table and wait for the music to start. Really a great place. Food and service are excellent.
