What can you tell me about the entertainment at Raglan Road? Is there live music? If so, is it Irish-rock band style or more traditional. Are there Irish dancers that perfrom the jig and reel? Are they hard shoe or soft shoe dancers?
TIA!

The last couple of times we have been there, the band/live music was definitely the modern Irish-rock-band sort. The dancers wear 'hard' (high-heeled) shoes, and perform for a few minutes every 15-20 minutes or so.

I have no idea about your second question, as we're only ever there for dinner.

I sure don't think of Creel as Irish Rock Band ... definitely not like Flogging Molly or Dropkick Murphy. Lots of Trad Reels and even old ballads if you ask for them. They do take requests.
They usually start playing between 7 and 7:30 pm, only for dinner hours. Creel does not play on Sunday's I don't think.
3 dancers: 2 girls and a guy. Hard soled shoes with taps or cleats on them but they do a lot of toe work too performing the jigs and reels.

THANK YOU! I appreciate your input. My daughter is Irish dancer and rarely gets the opportunity to just sit back and watch others perform. I just made an ADR for 7:30 so looks like I nailed the perfect time!

Request a table, you can see the stage!
We ate close to the entrance in the bar area and couldn't see the stage. But actually I liked it because we were able to have a conversation without shouting. It's LOUD but FUN!!:thumbsup2

Thanks for the info! This is helpful for me too. I made a 6:45 ADR for arrival day - my almost 6 year old loves Irish Dance so I think she will enjoy Raglan Road.
