Raglan Road has a location in Kansas City and they have filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. Anyone heard if this will affect the DTD location as well?

Haven't heard anything about this at the Florida location. I'll ask around, not that it means I'll get straight answers. :sad2:

With such different locations, I'd be surprised if KC affected DTD. I would tend to doubt that the KC location gets/got nearly the amount of traffic that the DTD location gets. The few times I have been there it's always been crowded. I don't have any "inside information" or anything like that, just logically speaking it would make sence to think of the 2 different locations as 2 completely seperate entities. I wouldn't think there is anything to worry about.

Here's what I found at this website (http://www.bizjournals.com/kansascity/news/2011/08/31/raglan-road-operator-files-bankruptcy.html):

The operator of Raglan Road, a pub in the Kansas City Power & Light District .. , has filed for bankruptcy.

Great Irish Pubs KC Inc., sought Chapter 11 protection from creditors on Tuesday.

The initial bankruptcy pleading shows that the restaurant owner has $8.8 million in liabilities and $2.1 million in assets.

Its primary creditor is Anglo Irish Bank Corp., a bank in Dublin, Ireland, for a $5 million loan dated Sept. 6, 2007.

Great Irish Pubs Florida Inc., the operator of a similar concept in Winter Park, Fla., is listed as a creditor for a $3.3 million claim on a revolving promissory note dated Oct. 1, 2010.

The Kansas City Power & Light District is the next-biggest creditor with a $378,629 claim for unpaid rent.

The pub operator was sued in Jackson County Circuit Court on June 2 by the Power & Light District, which is owned by Baltimore-based The Cordish Co .. . The suit, which is pending, seeks eviction.

A hearing scheduled for Wednesday was canceled, presumably in light of Tuesday’s bankruptcy filing.

Found the DTD one:

Raglan Road is owned and operated by Great Irish Pubs Florida, Inc., the Irish-owned company that previously created Nine Fine Irishmen at the New York-New York Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.

Hmmm. So the KC location owes the WDW location $3.3 million? Again, is this a problem if the KC location can't/doesn't pay?
