Raffling off disney points

Any advice/experience on raffling/autioning off Disney points for childrens school to raise money. How many points? Do you specify dates? Cancellation policy

We did this once. We offered enough for a studio for Sun. to Fri ( 5 nights) and specified specific seasons. The winner was to pick their dates, and I would call for availability. It went very smoothly.

I'd recommend scheduling a low season Sunday to Friday and listing the dates with a disclaimer that it might be possible to change the dates in some situations.

I do it every year for our church or some other benefit or fund raiser. I only do 3 or 4 nights, studio, OKW, S-TH any season except holiday and subject to availability, with a 12 month expiration. I don't like to schedule dates as it seems to give people a reason not to bid or buy a raffle (the dates don't work in their schedule) also I would have to actually reserve the dates I offered and I have had people who never used the days after they won. The least they have ever brought in was $175.00 the most $600.00 (they were the people who did not use them). Good luck, remember it's tax deductable.

We cut out pictures from the information too when we did it. I put down
Sunday to Friday stay in a studio that sleeps 4 and has a kitchenette. Dates available for reservations Jan., Feb., Aug., Sept., Oct., Nov., and Dec. (excluding Holiday week). I also explained that I would have to check available accommodations and schedule the trip. The school linked it with 4 free frequent flyer tickets that were donated by another parent, and they got about $2000 for it. A good deal for the school and the winners!
