Btw, I apologize for the double post. I was having internet problems and didn't think the first one went through.

As for me, I don't need an invitation. I've been known to crash a party or two, especially when free food and drink are involved.

Yes, it is a public ship, and yes, there would be no way to keep anyone off who wanted to pay Disney to cruise. It is very clearly a "joke" to you, so I guess you can't see it from another angle, that even "cruiseboard newbies" might not be the only ones to not "get" the joke.

I've seen wonderful, kind posts by you Rae. I've also seen you get testy and rant about different things. I've not met you so I don't know you beyond your posts. I didn't realize right off that the BIO was a joke. I can see how it is , but can also see how it could be read differently. Some folks are shy and may not feel wanted or included without an invite so to speak. They could read the BIO and think they haven't been.

If newbies aren't to post on threads like these, that leaves them to post on the threads asking questions. Oh wait, they don't know the answers yet themselves do they? That is why they are here. Meanwhile, I have a very "boring" thread were I posed a question about Palo brunch seating times. I would love to get it answered but I guess the veterans are busy posting on threads such as this..............

Anyway, Debbie - we are on! I promised Ann Morin this year was her year and got a "special invite" to her December 4 Birthday Cruise - are you interested??????

Just hang in there and you'll feel like you've known me forever (and wonder why!) If you think I get a bit testy here, you should have to live with me!!! Poor Tom! He is up for Sainthood!!!

Rae, funny thing is.......... we originally booked Dec 4th Cruise but changed it to May because we felt there was NO WAY we'd be able to wait that long!!

Anyway.......sure wish you could come on our May cruise with us so we could celebrate all the Birthdays early and DH and I will be celebrating our Anniversary

Debbie - you won't believe this but we had originally set May 4th as the date but had to change it! I can't believe we just gave up a chance to sail together! AGGGHHH! Too late now to change, but next time....

By the way, regarding the signature - the 2005 cruise is for anyone who can pay their own way, it's the "Andy and Rae 50th Birthday Celebration" that is by invitation only!


AND if you know or want to know either of us you are invited! But you must have a sense of humor or we will tell everyone on the thread you pooped out at our party! Right Andy?

So with all the activity mowanda started on this thread, no one has asked either of us what our Birthday Celebration is all about!
Besides turning "50", of course, and Andy is older than I! (Had to put that in!)

Okay, first off, those who are part of the Birthday Celebration (not necessary the cruise), will be invited enjoy "An evening with Andy and Rae" at a hotel to be named later - this will be a great individual photo op and question and answer session. A very "PERFECT" Dis Friend will be joining us that evening.

Once on the cruise, we will be hosting a brunch for our DIS friends. This will be a Group Photo Opp. This will be the last opportunity for autographs and individual photos.

So if you want to join us in this, just sign up for the cruise and show up to the events - that's your invitation!!

BTW......... Loren is being deployed again, he is leaving on Sat. 14 FEB 04. 24mos. (or so they say, we all know it could be more or less) so........... It may just be me and the kids!!

Shelly - I am so sorry to hear Loren's deployment. We were and still are against this involvement. Yes, coming from a DAV/ retirees that sounds pretty strong, but after losing Kayla, we have had a complete change in our thinking about life and death.
Not to make this a political statement or get into a debate (hey, I can always go back to the Debate Board and get flamed for this opinion!)

Anyway, we will have him and all the military in our prayers - its a different military now than it was when we were in (Vietnam Era) - and prayers are always needed and welcomed.

Yes, a group rate for all of us - what a good idea. As soon as Disney gives us a date we can put out a thread and go from there.
I am not sure how many people constitute a group - obviously we can "take over the ship" if enough come!
