We're staying at the Radisson at the Port and will be taking the shuttle to the pier.

How often does the shuttle run?
How many people does it hold? Is it a large bus, van, car?
Is it first come, first served or do you sign up for the shuttle?

If you get to the pier early, are there things to do or are you just sitting around waiting?

Thanks.

when u arrive at the Rad. u must sign up for the shuttle it is a large passanger van i would say 10 . and it runs about every 45 min. or so ... also would look for the avis shuttle witch is at the same hotel same spot if he is not busy he willl take other people over as we waited for the rad shuttle the avis guy came up to us and said would u like to go to the port and we said sure he put us into his van and brought us over since we where the only 2 in the van it was very pleasent and was like having private shuttle
needless to say we tipped him well .... all in alll the rad shuttle is very smooth process..... peter
have a great cruise

to me it looked like they were all vans. I took the Avis shuttle since we returned a rental car, but the Radisson folks who signed up for the shuttle were getting out of there, and i think the Avis shuttle didn't start until afterwards.

I spoke with them yesterday. The person I spoke with in customer service said that the shuttle first boards around 10:30 A.M., and signup is done at check-in.

I have stayed at this hotel several times before for work trips (but never for a cruise, so I didn't use their shuttle) and I think I remember a class C van.

Strangely enough, I will use the shuttle this time for the June 7-14 Western Magic, but won't be staying at the Hotel until June 21-27 (that's why I called - about parking/shuttle when my hotel stay was AFTER my cruise).

You will enjoy the Hotel, the jaccuzi suit rooms are great!

I think then run closer than 45 minutes apart. There is more than one van for the Radisson, plus the Avis van. There is a sign up but I can tell you from experience it does not always work. Many people will just show up and it's a free for all getting on the shuttles. That is why we now rent a car at MCO and drive ourselves and luggage to the Port in the morning and then hubby or myself returns the car to Avis. This way only one person has to deal with the shuttle and the rest of us are already checked in at the Port and are already in line to board.

There is plenty to do in the terminal. Most people do line up right away, but we leave a few of our group in line and then rotate. There is a great cut out ship model of the Magic, there are comfy chairs and TV's with cartoons playing, the characters come out for photo ops, there is also a snack bar with limited offering. You can also go outside the terminal on a terrace and see the Magic up close and take pictures.

We always get to the port by 10:45 and never find the wait to board long. We find the time goes quickly. When one gets tired in line, someone will switch with them.

I have pictures of our recent stay at the Radisson on 1/3/03 of the suites. I also have some pool shots from our August trip.

Thank you all for the very helpful information.

I've been reading these boards for awhile and just recently starting posting. This board has been very helpful in helping us book our cruise and I'm sure will continue to be helpful as we wait for 9/28/03 to get here.

Thanks again!
