Hiya,

Well me and DBF are going to Florida in November. We are stopping off for two nights in PA first then heading down to Orlando where we will spend 9 nights near Disney and the last 3 nights near USF/IOA.

We originally planned to book PA and USF hotels on hotwire and stay onsite for Disney at CSR (we've never stayed onsite before). We have now changed our plans slightly to save money and are looking into hotwire for PA/USF and then booking an offsite but *Close by* hotel for Disney.

The closeby and shuttles to/from WDW is *essential* as neither of us drive.

We were looking at the Royal Plaza, however, although a lot of ppl seem to like it I've read some downright worrying reports on tripadvisor.com so have changed my mind!

What can ppl suggest? We are looking to spend upto about $90 a night and would ideally like to be close to DTD (hence Royal Plaza idea).

I've seen the great offer the Dis has for Radisson Resort Prkway so wondered about that....

Anyways, basically any help and advice would be **muchly** appreciated!

I would REALLY recommend you staying on site for the transportation alone. Since you will be relying on it, I think you'd appreciate the Disney system rather than the DTD hotel shuttle system. We have used the shuttles to get to and from the parks, and didn't mind having to wait in the parking lot at NUMBER 21 or whatever ONCE in awhile, but would have preferred the Disney busses.

I'm pretty sure for 90/night you could score a moderate resort. I'd choose POR or POFQ for the option of a boat ride to DTD or the bus.

Thanks for the info RobinMarie....

If we stayed at a Moderate it would have to be CSR, we've just fallen in love with the look of it!!

However, we can't seem to find it anywhere near as cheap as $90/night - pray tell!!

I think you can afford to wait a bit until the codes anyone can use come out. While it's not a guarantee they WILL come out, I'd be pretty comfortable waiting until the end of the summer for a decent rate.

If you don't have transportation, I would not go with the Radisson Resort Parkway. The shuttle there does not run often and I think you end up at the park all day til the evening one comes back.

I agree that you might want to try a moderate and see if you can get a code rate. However, you might have to give up on CSR because often they don't have codes because of the conventions there. But better to have your second on site choice with good transportation than to be offsite and at the mercy of limited shuttles.

If you do go with off-site, I would suggest you do one of them on Hotel Blvd. At least their shuttles run on a regular schedule throughout the day.
