We are thinking about staying offsite for 3 days prior to our 5 day on site stay. We want to do some other Orlando things or visit the nearby beaches and we'll NEVER do this stuff once we're on Disney property.

I'm intrigued by the Radisson that is near Celebration. There is a discount on this site for our time frame for $85 a night. The resort looks lovely! Has anyone stayed there who can give me a review?

Thanks

We stayed here for one night in February (we had to fly in a day early due to an impending snow storm). We booked this hotel the night before we left with little advance planning. We were pleasantly surprised. For the money (less than what we would have paid at Pop Century or the All Stars), we got a spacious room with two queens, pillow-top duvets, fridge and coffee maker. We were supposed to have a parking lot view room and were graciously upgraded to a view of the themed pool. None of the rooms have balconies... just floor to ceiling windows. Also, no central thermostat... just the individual units like at the Values/Moderates. There is a fitness center with all newer equipment, food court type of area with a pizza hut and starbucks express and a gift shop. This being said, while it was acceptable to us, there was little or no "personality" to the hotel. We never stayed off-site before so we really noticed how the "magic" of staying at a Disney resort just wasn't there. Since you are going to be doing other things, that probably isn't as much as a concern for you though. Overall, for the price, I'd recommend it.

Happy Planning! :)

Thanks Misti. It looks like a very nice hotel.

We're just thinking about doing this. Once we drive onto the Disney property, we won't leave. So, we thought about this idea so we would take the time to do some other things.

Anyone else care to give a review of the Radisson?

We stayed there last year because of the great review and discount offered from mousesavers.com and we really enjoyed it. It is a very nice hotel, great pool area. The rooms are better than what you'd get at the Disney moderate level. However, it's missing the Disney theming and perks/convience etc. Yet, I'd highly recommend it. We actually spend an entire day swimming and hmm, drinking there. The only thing I wasn't too crazy about was the breakfast buffet. Kids eat free there but was expensive so they really didn't eat for free if you know what I mean. Check out the detailed review on www.mousesavers.com.

Hope this helps!
