Has anyone stayed at this hotel? My husband thinks we need to change our hotel stay to the radisson, we already have reservations at HoJo's but he isn't that excited about staying so close to disney. So I am confused about what to do. So if anyone has any comments on the radisson I would appreciate any info, also comparing HoJo's and radisson which would be a better place to stay. It is only myself and husband, no children. Thanks for the help.

Hello! I stayed there in Feb. 2003 and the hotel is nice. It's not 4-star, but is definately better than HOJO. But if you are only going to Disneyland, it wouldn't be the ideal location (It's about 10 miles away).

We only ate at the on-site resturant for breakfast and it was a buffet (O.K). But they do have several restuarants you can walk to, including Mrs. Knott's Chicken resturant.

I can't comment on the regular rooms, becuase we stayed in the Camp Snoopy Wing for kids. It has Camp Snoopy themed rooms & snoopy tucks the kids in to bed and gives them each a chocolate bone.

But the rooms are a good size.

Hope this helps!
;) :D ,

That does help some, we are not just going to be doing DL/DC, we want to do Knotts, Universal and maybe Magic Mountain. Are the grounds as nice as HoJo's? From pictures I saw of HoJo's they have realy nice grounds. Also are the rooms newer looking at the Radisson? I have seen pictures of the rooms at HoJo's and they look clean but kind of dated. I also noticed that the Radisson has a shuttle too DL, any experience with that? Sorry for so many questions, I just want to make sure I won't regret cancelling out HoJo's to stay at the Radisson.

The Radisson is located at the "end" of Knotts Berry Farm - opposite of the entrance. I'm not aware of any grounds to speak of, though the website says that there's a pool & tennis courts.

The advantage is that the Radisson is near Knotts, and you can easily walk to Knotts Market - also Medieval Times & Wild Bills are nearby. Knotts is right off the 91 freeway.

The HoJo is made up of 3 or 4 buildings, set on nicely landscaped grounds.

The nice thing about the HoJo is the proximity to Downtown Disney, as well as other restaurants on Harbor Blvd. The Ho Jo is right next to the 5 (Santa Ana) Freeway

We stayed there for a wedding and it was pretty nice. They were friendly and clean, and it was really nice to have a Cucina! Cusina! in the building. I would say that it is definately better than the HoJos. I would stay at the Radisson again... but request a non-anjoining room b/c they are rather noisy.

As Mary Jo stated, there aren't really any grounds at the Radisson. It's considered as on Knott's property, so it's mostly surrounded by parking lots.

Also, the Cucina Cucina resturant is no longer there.

The Radisson is a very short walk to the Knotts maingate. The pool area is interesting with a decent sized pool and it had this "pool toy" feature - a structure of pipes that sprayed & squirted you when you walked under and around it with switches and valves you could use to turn the water on & off. I though the room could have used a soft remodel but it was OK. Too far from DL for my taste, though.

Well thanks so much for all the info, I still haven't made up my mind yet. I am leaning on staying at HoJo's though since we already have the room booked and it is suppose to be a larger room with a balcony facing the pool area. Plus the fact that HoJo's seemed to go out of thier way to answer all my questions, and were very prompt with the replys. It took me a while to hear back form the Radisson and when I called the desk people were not really sure about booking rooms for 2005.

Its not that my husband doesn't like disney, he thinks it would be more peaceful to stay at Knotts. Less traffic noise etc..things like that. But personally I feel we should just stay at HoJo's, most of the reviews I have read on this place sounds great. I also think there will be more of a selection on places to eat outside of disney, when we stayed at WDW this past March, we were onsite and ate all of our meals on site and sad to say most of the meals we had were lacking. So we are looking at other dining options this trip. Thanks for all the info though, if anyone has anything else to add I would appreciate hearing it, these boards make planning a trip so much easier.
