Radisson at the Port question

Do you need to book the Cruise special in order to get the shuttle to the port and the free parking or is this a courtesy to everyone? The Cruise Special price is obviously higher. Also, can I get a regular room with 3 small children or will they make me do the suite because of the shuttle? Anyone?

No, you don't need the cruise special...we cruised in 2001 and just booked a room. The shuttle is complimentary. You need to sign up for a shuttle time when you check in.

On our last 2 cruises, we book the cheapest room only offer they had available, we have never had a problem leaving our car and taking the shuttle over to the port. Make sure you make your reservation for the shuttle as soon as you check in - the earlier slots fill up very quickly.

I think you'd be okay with just the room. We booked the Floribbean getaway (but, did not have a car to park).

One thing about the shuttle. We checked in the day before our cruise at almost midnight, and the earliest shuttle to the port available was 1:15PM, which wasn't going to work for us. They told us to use the Avis shuttle, which doesn't require a "reservation". The morning of our cruise we went right over to the Avis station, and they took us over then. I think next time, if I was to stay at the Radisson, I'd just try to use the Avis shuttle in the first place.
