Hi

Has anyone stayed at the SAS Radison at Manchester AIrport? Just wondering what it is like? We've booked a family room plus breakfast the night before we fly. Planning on checking in as soon as we can and then going back to hotel for breakfast - has anyone done this - has it worked out ok? WHat is earliest you can check in for your flights? Is it 3 hours before or 4 hours before?

I'm doing a little bit more in the planning each weekend - makes it all very real!!!

Yes. We have stayed over at the Radisson at Manchester Aiport. It was about 4 years ago, but I remember it being very nice. So handy for the terminal, being just next door.

The earliest we have been able to check in has been 3 hours before, but I guess it depends on the airline and the time of day that you fly.

We really like the Radisson and just stayed there in sept, very handy just to walk to terminal. Didn`t do the breakfast as we had booked the Escape lounge, think this is round about the same price as Radisson buffet breakfast.
We got a runway view room and 15 days parking for £195, but we have booked for next year and it`s £225 again without breakfast as we like the Escape lounge.
Virgin check in opened at 6.30am(10.25 flight) but not sure about other airlines. Happy planning:)

Stayed at the Radisson the last time we travelled to the states, the family room is fantastic, double bed with doors leading to the second room with two further beds. We were well impressed, it got the holiday started a day sooner, though watch out in the bar, when we paid with a £20 the barman did the old trick of giving us change for a tenner - little did he know he was dealing with a tight Yorkshireman!

Recommend it to anyone, would definitely consider staying again next time.

Always stay at the Radisson and go back for breakfast if flying to Orlando. In February we were able to check in just after 6am. Will go across for 6 this time in the hope that they will open.

We`re planning on staying at the Radisson next month - though we won`t use the parking as Dh can park in the short term carpark at long tern rates.
We stayed there twice before, there is nothing more convienient.
What are the queues like for the 10.25 Virgin flight - wondering whether to get there for 6am???

Oh how exciting!! I've booked us into the Raddisson the night before we fly for next April!! I'm glad everyone enjoyed it!!

I think we're going to check in and then head back for breakfast also, I think it's a great way to get the holiday started!! :)

we stayed here in march and have allready booked for next yr

we had interconnecting rooms that overlooked the runway, the hotel has a pool, great for tiring out rather excited children ;) and a beauty centre if you fancy a pre holiday treat

my pre holiday treat was to sit by the pool in a comfy pool lounger whilst dh played happily with the kiddies and i read

the buffet brekkie was out of this world, it had the full english, plus kippers and such, continental choices with cereals, cooked meats & smoked salmon, fab patisserie and good old american waffles and pancakes with syrup, it's a buffet so you just help yourself the only downside was trying to get the kids to take it easy on the waffles, lots of sugar makes my two high and even harder work than usual:eek:

we checked in first and then took the sky tunnel back for brekkie, it was a nice leisurely start to the holiday

btw, my kids loved the sky tunnel :)
