Are we allowed to bring a (box) radio on the plane and store it in the overhead compartment?

Thanks,

LAH

Check the website for whichever airline you're flying. They should have a section that discusses sizes of carry-on packages. If the dimensions fall within the guidelines of carry-on luggage then you will be allowed to, otherwise they will make you check it.

It is usually not practical to listen to the radio in an airplane because reception is poor inside the metal fuselage and what little reception you get doesn't last long as the plane quickly enters and leaves the range of the radio station.
