It's a fantastic ride however it's such a long wait time
I only ever do single rider when I go on it which is a shame as it seats 3 per row and there's 3 of us that go. But oh well!
It does break down a lot and I don't think it's a very fast loader if you compare to the amount of people who want to ride it. I think it's worth it though personally, It's a great ride and I definitely would be upset if I missed it while on vacation at DLR

If you're a Cars fan you are going to get such a kick out of the whole CarsLand, not just RSR! I experienced it the opposite - hadn't seen cars until after our first visit in 2013. I got goosebumps watching it, it was bizarre looking at a cartoon version of something I had seen in real life.

It's a different ride every time. I haven't been there yet, but from what I understand you don't know which garage/pit stop you will go into or who will win the race. That would make me want to ride it more than once.

Imagine how much more surreal it was to visit a place in real life after seeing it in a cartoon, and never imagining it would exist in real life!

It's just that much fun... so tons of people, the times we have done it we have used FP and even so it has been almost a 20-30 minute wait, they do Single riders also

Wow, I am so excited to go on this ride! everyone seems to rave about it! I seems to be worth anyway you have to deal with.

I agree breakdowns contribute. When we rode, it broke down and we were "stuck" inside for 5 minutes. The kids didn't like being belted in, and it got boring watching Red water the flowers. But the lights came on and we could see everything. After returning to the loading area, they sent us around again - awesome! So not only did it delay everyone during the breakdown, they also didn't load new riders for another 5 minutes.

I have a question about the single rider line. My older girls would be totally fine riding alone. My 7 year old though, while technically old enough, would be nervous to be by herself. What are the odds that if 5 of us got in the single rider line that at some point, they would put two single riders in the same car? Or two of us at the same time in different cars? I think she would be OK as long as somebody in our family was getting on and off the ride with her at the same time even if in a different car or row.

Does the single rider line usually just take one person at a time?

Yes. The CMs will go to some length to fill spaces of two or more with parties of those sizes who are in the standby line. It would be very unusual for them to fill two spaces together with two people from the single rider line, and the likelihood that you would be the recipient of such a lucky break is pretty low.

That's awesome they let you ride again! We got stuck for at least 5 minutes, maybe more. I asked if we could ride again and they said no

They are filling multiple cars at once. It is possible that they'll have a car with two groups of two, leaving two single spots. But if you start changing position, etc, the cms will get grumpy.

Maybe do it the first time through with fp or right at opening. Watch how they fill the cars. Everyone exits together, and you guys go slowly through the rather long exit. Upstairs, in the photopass area, through the rest of it and out. That way everyone is familiar with the exit.

Then with single rider, make sure she's in the middle of the group. And come up with a meeting place. And it will be ok.

We have only done single rider for RSR.

This is my favorite ride in the park, just edging out Star Tours. It has the ultimate combination of theming and thrill. That being said, I don't think I would ever wait in the stand-by line. I plan every day of the park-hopper around the RSR FP and try to squeeze in an extra ride at rope drop or single rider.

As for the breakdowns, I think a lot of people lose hats on this ride (I almost lost mine a couple times). I'm surprised they don't instruct passengers to stow away hats and loose items as with other rides.
