Hi,

Touring plans suggests not going straight to RSR at the start of EMH because the ride often starts later and can eat up a lot of your EMH time. Does anyone have an recent experience with this they can share?

Thanks!

We go to TSMM and ride 2-3 times, Screamn' and ride 1-2 times (its our son's favorite ride) and then walk over and grab a FP for RSR and then head to Soarin' every morning we are in DCA. You could get a FP for WOC early; however we traditionally do a dinner package so there is no need. A bonus for us that saves a bit of walking is that our 8 year old HATES TOT so we don't have to deal with that FP or early morning need. If it's an early entry day we typically hit the FP machine as the crowd is walking our way as they don't open until regular park hours. Although the last time we were there TSMM was down for most of early entry, so it could happen to any of your "first" choices.

That was not our experience last May. We pretty much walked right on to RSR first thing, but that's my only experience with it.

Earlier in January when we went it was open with EMH but ive been there during EMH and it would be closed as well.

In September we did two EMH in DCA and walked right onto RSR both times!

Extra Magic Hours should depend on what is more important for you and those with you. I have teenagers to young adults so they ALWAYS prefer RSR 1st & possibly ride AGAIN then Screamn' followed by TSM. If they are lucky TOT ALL done before early lunch time !! If you have little ones maybe whatever is open for them.

I would suggest rope dropping RSR first thing (and riding it if its open) and then going over to Midway Mania. First thing in the morning, everyone is focused on RSR so the rest of the park is pretty dead. Once Fastpasses open when the park opens to everyone, grab Fastpasses for RSR if you guys want to do it again.
