So, planning my 5th visit to Disney (and cant even remember how many trips to USA) and only just discovered that I can possibly use my Australian Auto-Club Membership for AAA discounts?

Now I'm with RACV, and their website does say "As an RACV member, you are now also part of a program with 115 million members in 50 countries who share access to a network of over 150,000 merchant locations around the world, offering you a host of savings and benefits. If you are travelling to the United States, Canada, Mexico, Europe, South Africa, Japan or South Korea your RACV membership gives you access to a world of benefits."

This then gives a link to "more info on overseas savings" which directs to http://www.aaa.com/PPInternational/International.html

Unfortunately I cant access aaa.com (at home, work, on my mobile, on like 5 different computers - so I dont think its just me, could be geo-blocked, but don't know why they would do that with international partners - can anyone else access this website???) so I don't have a lot of details on it yet.

But oh my gosh, I'm kicking myself so hard right now, cant think of how much savings I've lost from the 15 hotels, car hires, etc I've done in the past - but at least now I know for future!!!

So keen to use this for my hotel, and possibly even theme park tickets? (on the Disneyland forum, someone mentioned discounted park tickets on AAA.com, under discounts, travel, theme parks)

Has anyone done this before?

How'd it go?

Any more details?

Thoughts of a sticky with helpful info like this for Aussie planners who may be able to use USA discounts through international-linked associations or companies?

Yes, our motor vehicle clubs qualify to aaa discounts.

I'm with RACV as well. If you turn over your card, there will be the AAA logo on the bottom
Right. Below that is the 3 digit club code.

When booking online, use AAA as the discount code and when asked, enter that 3 digit code. It's always worked for me.

We've used ours RAC (WA). Good discounts for Amtrak too. I also look at fat wallet for codes too. Every bit helps, especially with the exchange rate.
