It may be cheaper just to pay OOP for meals, but I like the fact I wouldn't have anything to worry about.
You said deluxe dining plan right? That costs about $70, if xe.com is correct. Let's assume a random day (choosing lowest prices)
Breakfast - Kouzzina.
Steel cut cinnamon porridge. $6.49
French toast. $10.49
Orange juice. $2 (I'm guessing)
Total = $18.98
Lunch - Le Cellier.
Canadian chedder cheese soup. $6.99
Grilled steak burger. $12.49
Chocolate "Moose". $5.99
Coke. $2
Total = $27.47
Dinner - Coral Reef.
Mixed greens salad. $6.99
Wild mushroom lasagna. $16.99
Tropical fruit mango sorbet. $7.99
Coke. $2
Total = $33.97
Snacks = 2 schoolbreads.
Total $4.
Add that together, you get $84.92. You save nearly $15. That's with the cheapest things. I know the starters are included, because I picked up the deluxe dining plan booklet whilst in WDW.
This is probably too late now, but still
