I totally would be. See growing up next to the border teaches you that english is a perfectly decent language and if we'd just call it welsh all problems would be solved xD And simple welsh education teaches you how much english has already screwed with place names and how we're still trying to hang on. Seriously why not just call it Cardif, nobody is going to say cardiv trust me, people see f as an f not a v.
When we went to disney there was a family from Chepstow and they had super welshy accents I think I may be the only native welsh person who doesn't even have a tint of an accent.
