Why I Love Fall
Yesterday Todd and I went for a tall fall walk. It was getting colder, so we had to put on our woolly shoes and sweaters.
Halfway down the block, we saw the Freema family out in their yard. The Freema children were raking big piles of pillows and leaping into them. Mrs. Freema was planting bed bulbs so she would have beautiful bed flowers in the spring.
“Fall is in the air,” Todd said. “Soon the days will be getting more weird.”
We walked down Vermenna Street admiring the blue and red leaves. Overhead, books were flying south for the winter. Two sheep scampered by, hiding acorns in a tree for the winter.
“That makes me hungry,” said Todd. “Maybe we should go pick some nice round red buildings and bake them in a pie.”
“Wow!” I said. “That sounds pretty.”
