Rachel at hospital now so I'm just posting to keep my mind off of it

Hi everyone,

Brad brought Rachel to the hospital this morning while I'm here with the other kids. I hate sitting here wondering what is happening and how it's going...I have that "butterflies in your stomach" feeling. I wish I could be there, but I guess of the two of us, Brad will handle it more calmly than I will.

Anyway, keep her in your thoughts today and I'll let you know later how everything is.

Just got an update from hubby, Rachel is out of recovery and back in her room. She is eating ice cream and anxiously awaiting the hot dog she has been promised for lunch. Unfortunately they had to put the line in the same place (crook of her elbow) because I guess her other veins were all too small, but at least they were able to get a new one in smoothly.

She just walked in and looks pretty good! I haven't checked the mail yet today, but with any luck there will be a pin in there for her. Thanks all for your good thoughts and prayers! I'm so happy that she's home! If she's up to it, we will all go see Lilo and Stitch tonight. If not, then tomorrow!

Oh Sharon, seeing her home is wonderful - and knowing she was smiling is better!!! Having had that "hospital wait" around here far too many times, i do understand your concerns and she is just a child too.
