Race transportation

Okay, I've been asked this on a couple of occasions and I don"t really know the answer If a guest is participating in a race at WDW, and they are staying at a non-host resort, say the Dolphin, can they walk over to BCWC and hop on their bus to race functions? I ask because although I'm staying at the Dolphin, i have no idea what to tell someone! Now, I did speak to a RunDisney person when I was looking to book a room for the Food and Wine half marathon weekend. it worked out to be cheaper for me to stay at the Dolphin than Pop. The CM told me to just walk over to BW and hop on...they don't ask to see room keys! But, I'm not comfortable telling someone else to do that!!!
Have any of you guys run into this issue? I want to give out correct info, that can be trusted.

I can confirm that you can just walk over to a resort. They do not ask for room keys or anything. I think they figure if you are up at 3:30am to get on a bus you must be running!

Yes. They don't check and really don't care. Folks hike from DTD hotels to Saratoga all the time. I did the Dolphin to BW for this race last year


Having talked to some RunDisney managers they want as many as possible to arrive by bus. And you paid for it. Transportation to RunDisney events is paid out if those outrageous race fees not out of the normal transport funding

Alrighty then. I will tell those that have asked me that it's okay. I was going to do it in any case...especially if the RunDisney CM told me to. But, like I said, I just wasn't good with telling others to do it unless I had some first hand knowledge of others being able to do it.
And you're right...if you're showing up for a bus at 4:30, you deserve to be on the bus....since you did pay the slightly overpriced fee to participate!!!
