I am signed up to run "Race the Runways" in Brunswick Maine on April 2. I hope I left enough time between the Princess and this one...but only time will tell!
It is a first time half marathon that is flatter than flat because it takes place at the Brunswick Naval Air Station that is closing at the end of May.
Is anyone else running this one?
Does anyone have any suggestions for how to prepare from here to there?
I hope there might be another Disser out there from New England. :yay:

Oh my...if only I was planning to be "back home" visiting my mom in MA, I would do this one for sure. She is originally from Brunswick, and it would be neat to run that race. Then could pop over to Freeport for a Bean visit-haven't been in a while.

Too bad. I need to run a half that weekend as Boston taper.

As for your question of preparation....do you mean training? The race is 8 weeks away. You ran Princess, so you have a good base base. Have you run since then? I would probably suggest trying to do the last 8 weeks of whatever plan you used for Princess.

Hope you have a fun race.

I'm running my next 1/2 on April 2nd as well. I'm hoping to do my first long run since the 1/2 today in preparation. I think 5 weeks between races is doable, especially if you don't push yourself too hard too soon after the first race. Good Luck!

The good news is that the race is totally flat. The bad news is that it is a whole lot colder in Maine than it was in Florida. and....well...it just isn't Disney! It was pretty warm today (low 40s). I ran a nice easy 5 with DH and our dog.
