To all the race/event participants: CONGRATULATIONS!
Chris: WTG with your 5K, especially your placing and mastering those hills! Your DW and DDs must have been so proud!
Casey: Congrats on your first 1/2 marathon! The pics you posted are lovely, and it looks like it was a very good day to run. It's nice to know you had a good race & are looking at signing up for more events. Great time, too, btw.
Ed: Another great first 1/2 marathon. The CMM sounds like a well-organized event, with lots of support and entertainment. I'm so glad you enjoyed yourself, hills and all. (I know what you mean by being told a course is flat and thinking, "huh?") Loved the Kenyan line, too!
Cecilia: Thanks for the complete RR, as always. You help so many of us evaluate events for our future events. I truly appreciate the time you and thought you put into these posts. I'm so sorry about all the challenges you had on the course. It must have been especially difficult for you, given that this one was for your father. I know he's proud of you, no matter what your time, and that your race did him a great honor. As did your cheering on of all the finishers behind you. All the things that you do on the course, and here on WISH, are a testament to your character. I hope the time you spend with your father and all your loved ones during this time gives you some peace.
Leana: Loved the pictures--especially of you propped against the tree. You look so darned happy, as you should be with your PR. I'm sure a sub-30 is in your near future!
Jackie: Congrats on shaving off 16 seconds from last year, especially in hot weather. I think it's useful to read these RR that evaluate local races, how you felt, and why they're good events. (Your time, from my p.o.v., is still really good!

)
xterratri: That's a great lot of your race. I found all the details fascinating, and especially the sections where you recorded what you would do differently. (BT is a great site, from the looks of it.) The heat acclimation sounds like it was a big hurdle, but it sounds as if you had fun before the event

and you have strategies for improving your time in each leg & the transition. I'm not only impressed by your ability to do a Tri but by your ability to analyze your event & set goals. (And WTG beating your swim time, finding a comfortable biking pace, and not injuring yourself on the run despite the issues with your quad.)
