Waukesha WI Trailbreaker Half Marathon

The half I did in Waukesha, WI was fun! I like the smaller events as this. We were able to stay indoors until the start time so I didn't freeze in a corral waiting to get started. It was held on a bike/hike paved trail. The half was quite flat and the weather was cooperative. I enjoy the treks in the cooler weather. I managed in just a hair over 3 hours, and for me it is a fast time. I was almost last so most folks were long gone by the time I arrived. Many of the fullers passed me too. It was a fast participant course as I mentioned. The after fare was standard and sufficient, nothing beyond that. There was limited offerings on the half course and limited porta potties, but we knew this going into the event. The participants were friendly and the event offered bling for the first time this year. I was able to have a nice warm shower in the facility before we made our journey home. There is also a good tech shirt I can proudly wear. Another state checked off on my quest of 25 halfs in 25 states. (13 done, 6 more scheduled)
