:jumping1: GO! WISH Team GO! :jumping1:

Good luck everyone. I was looking at the Kentucky Derby Festival half but went with the Flying Pig instead which is next weekend.

Today I did a local 10 miler that is put on in Cleveland. I was hoping to run a sub 1:03 and came in at 1:02:17 and felt great. My times this spring have been my fastest ever and I'm excited to see what I'll do next weekend and in Buffalo the last week of May.

Keep up the running WISHers.

Great job Firedancer....that is FAST! Good luck at the Pig! We live in Cincy but are doing the Indianapolis Mini instead!

Had an awesome race weekend with two PRs! :thumbsup2

Race report is on my blog. It is kinda long so I didn't post it on the board.

Man, FireDancer, you are speedy! Congrats on your results!

Hope everyone had amazing race experiences!

Frank Glad to see you are running awesome times. Good luck at the pig.

Rick Congrats on setting 2 great PRs! But we are going to have to stop calling you "RunRookie" because you're not anymore!

Rick,

Great race report and congrats on the 2 PRs! Had a good friend who was supposed to run the 1/2 (her first) but Friday night she got a call at 10:30 PM from her alarm company that someone tried to break into her house so she had to go home. Luckily, they only shattered her door and didn't get anything, but I guess they got a lot from her neighbor. Good news is she will now be running the Indy Mini with me this weekend!

Yikes! I hope the police catch the creep who did it. That can really mess with your feeling of being safe in your own home. Thank God she wasn't there when it happened (and that nothing was taken). I am sure running with her at Indy will be a positive thing for you both! :)

Great race recap! I totally tripped and fell about a 1/2 mile from the finish, so I thought it was ironic that you tripped too. I wonder if we did it in the same place. I can't wait to see my finish line photo because I was sporting a nice bloody knee. :rolleyes1 Great job on 2 PR's in one weekend, it was great to talk for a couple minutes at the expo!

I ran the Heroes 1/2 marathon in Everett, WA.
Came in 3rd place for my age group with a time of 1:57:47.
I hadn't been able to train for a little while due to getting sick the weekend before.
And had terrible congestion for the rest of Sunday after the race.
But I survived and I'm hoping to get better soon.
More races to run!

Oh, and I should qualify as a Half Fanactic now.
I just need to apply!:hyper:

I hope everyone else's races went well!

Yay! Definitely send in your races and become a Half Fanatic! The more WISHers the better! :thumbsup2

Frank - Nice job on the 10 miler and good luck in the Pig. I almost signed up for the Pig but decided to do Cap City instead. After Disneyland I was looking for a good PR course. Unfortunately it looks like the weather may not cooperate with us here in Ohio.

Rick - Nice job on the PR.

Gretchen - Nice job on the AG award.

Congrats to the other Illinois runners - I did not see you out there on the course (or at least, I don't think that I did), but it was nice knowing that other Dis'ers were out there as well. Congrats on the PR, Rick. (BTW - the Brightroom pics are up. What were your bib numbers? I'm 122.)

I ran the 5k and the full - no PR in either, but it was my first marathon in my toe shoes, so I ran very conservatively (and slowly). Now I can start working on gaining some speed at that distance - I need to run a fairly speedy full or half this fall, if I want to in A or B at the Goofy next year.

Yeah, I had hoped to run into more DISers as well but there were way too many people. I was wearing my WISH shirt for the 5K and Half, but I had a vest over the shirt during the Half (for the rain that didn't come) so that wasn't too helpful... :rotfl:

My bib number was 4906 for the Half. I don't think Brightroom took photos at the 5K. I got the email from them today (fast turnaround) so I will take a look at them when I get home tonight.

Kentucky Derby Half Marathon finishers here. Had a great time and I finally got to stop at a McDonald's, mile 3.88, to buy a M&M McFlurry to eat during the race.

Even with the hip and foot problems DW is having, appointment next week at Ortho Dr., she kept her spirits high and we enjoyed the wonderful sights of Louisville and the walk inside Churchill Downs.

I finished 199 of 200 in the 60/64 age group at 3:44:47, a huge difference from my Space Coast Half walking PR of 2:12:10 but when DW and I have a half marathon together, I walk with her.

Congratulations to all who seem to be growing wings on your ankles and flying during your races.

I ran the Nashville Country Music Marathon and set a new PR by a little over a minute at 3:29:37. I'm happy with the PR, but a little disappointed that I didn't do a little better. It was hot, humid & hilly, so all in all, a good race for me. Just my 2nd one. I'm now ready to a flat one. My first two have been super hilly and hot.

My bad. They did have photos for the 5K. ;)
