I am a runner, wow!

I remember feeling like that for the first time. It's the best.

When it hit me, I cried on the bus, just a little, on the way home.

Jan, still a great time. And your 18 year old, awesome job, you will need to quiz her/him on what when right today.

Doing double duty this weekend.
Saturday -
Magnuson Park 15K
Sunday -
Run of Hope 5K (my work is sponsoring it)

Finished my 15K in 1:20:11, 5th out of 12 runners, first in my age group
Finished by 5K in 25:44, 80th out of 688, first in my sex/age group (out of 23)

Both days were nice for running.
Saturday was hotter than I anticipated and I regretted not putting on sunscreen or lip protection.
Sunday was fun because about 70 people from my office participated.
After I finished, I cheered people on with the signs that I had made.

Next up -
Leavenworth Half Marathon - I don't think it will be a fast one for me as I hear it's pretty hilly, but it will be beautiful.

Ha. Leavenworth as in a small Bavarian city in WA state.
They are having a 1/2 and full marathon on 10/15. I'm running in the 1/2.
It also happens to be the last weekend of the Oktoberfest Festival.
At the end of the race they give you a pint of beer. But I'm not a beer drinker so I told my husband he needs to be at the end to partake!
