I'm a little worried about the report that they are going to feed us before the race. I don't want the food before the race, I want it afterward! They are going to give us champagne before the race? This doesn't sound too good, we'll all be stumbling around the course!
I actually called the people who manage the race for Disney because I wanted to know if my husband would be able to "partake" of the food & wine if he was a spectator. They said that last year there was so much food, they did let the spectators eat & drink. This point has become moot because my husband is now registered for the race as well (he'll walk it).
Did anyone run this last year? How did it work? Did you eat & drink beforehand, afterward, or both? I would just be really bummed if we are supposed to do the tasting beforehand b/c I certainly can't run 6.2 miles on a full stomach!
PS This is my first post on the Disboards! I am running the Disney Half Marathon in January as well, so I will probably be around here quite a bit! I'm in the Tampa area & went to the Food & Wine Festival last year and enjoyed it quite a bit.
