I am not sure what I need to do so I was hoping someone could give me some advice...
I fell down my stairs at home on Wednesday and finally broke down and went to the dr. today my foot is terribly bruised, I thought I had broken my big toe but I figured I would tape it up and go on.. well it is broken at the joint so no taping I saw a sports dr. today and he took me off all impact to the foot for 4 weeks in hopes it heals correctly. If it doesn't I will need surgery to re-break it and a pin placed in my big toe.. As ridiculous as it sounds I wish it was a joke.. but sadly it isn't.
Both myself and my daughter are registered already got our waivers etc.. for the Tinkerbell 1/2 in two weeks. Do we just notify Run Disney we will not be there? My daughter is 17 and doesn't want to do it without me and since I am not racing that is an awful lot of money tied up just for a short visit to Disneyland, plus now I may have to save that time to be off work for surgery if it all doesn't come back together right.
I am at a loss we were able to save on our airfare because it was booked on frequent flyer miles but our DVC points at PP we will probably loose..
Sorry typing this through all the tears is not working too good trying real hard to put my big girl pants on and deal with this..
Just curious do I just contact Run Disney to let them know we will not be running in the race. I understand the no refunds etc.. it is what it is but I was just curious what I should do.
