Race days gotten immensly easier?

I don't know about you guys, but when I went into Spark's place, we went into a teleporter into a "Sparky's lobby" of sorts. The track took us to the exit, and we were awarded a race day pin. Has it always been like this?

No before you actually had to do a race for it. But since VMK was lagging so much he changed it to a teleporter to make it easier. I think

There actually have been a few weeks where he starts out with the race game and then at some point into the time he has added the teleporter to just send people through. I am not one bit surprised with the issues VMK has had today (this weekend) that he did this earlier if he even did try the game today

The very first time the pin was out (back in late February, I believe), there was a race game that lasted a couple of hours. A couple of hours after the race was done, a teleporter "game" opened...and instead of the typical host pin of the month, the prize was the racing pin. That was when I got my pin. When it was "race day" again, I don't remember if a race game opened, but I do remember another teleporter game where the pin was again the racing pin. That's how I got my second one. Sounds like they just tried to do the race game today rather than a teleporter game, but that the lag prevented it from working properly...and hence, a winning teleporter was opened.

On the VMK homepage there is a calendar that lists the dates and times of all host events. At the appointed time the host room appears at the top of the Popular Guest Room List. Just get in line and wait your turn

Probably. Race season lasts a long time.
