RAC and golf clubs

I posted this on a sticky above but haven't had any responses, so I'll post here too. We'll be able to use RAC in Dec, since SWA now participates. Have any of you ever checked golf clubs through the RAC desk? SWA always counts them as one piece of luggage, and with the soft sided "Golf Glove" carrier my husband uses, the weight is less than 50 lbs. Just wondering if the RAC desk would consider them oversized. It says no overweight or oversized pieces can be checked.

And another question... can we still have our SWA boarding passes printed off at the 24 hr mark by concierge or do we specifically need the RAC desk to do this, if we plan to use them?

Thanks for any info and advice!

We've checked golf clubs via RAC on numerous occasions without issue.

Can't answer on SWA as that's not an airline we use.

I was hoping you might get an answer on the sticky where you first posted this...but it must have been missed by most.
I can't help you much since I don't golf, but hopefully someone can give you a definitive answer.

Have checked golf clubs many time with RAC, and it's never been a problem, but have only done it with Jetblue, Airtran and Delta.

Thanks for your responses re: RAC and golf clubs. I know that SWA counts them as a regular piece of luggage but was concerned the RAC desk might consider them oversized. Guess we will be able to use the Poly RAC desk to get our luggage and golf clubs back to the airport. Won't that make things easy!
