R/O discount.... What's the fuss?

Doing some searching, this period of R/O discounts looked worse than the last one that just expired and I don't mean by the stampede of people trying to get their room on.

I'm talking about price.

The discounts were nowhere near what I was finding for the fall deal that just passed (and I booked). Animal Kingdom rooms alone were somewhere around $50+ more on average a night this time with the "same" deal?

Not understanding this one.

well i think the % off is better at some resorts, but it could be the rack rates for this period are just higher than last.

Any discount at all is better than rack rate. Also the seasons at Disney are changing and that is why there is a difference in price.
