Hey,

Ok so normaly i use a pin pouch around my neck for the key to the world card and have to take this out every time i get in the room/parks (this was last september)

Now i have seen that Disney have fitted an new system called RFID and works like the last page in a passport and the new con-tactless cards but wanting to know a few things as to is it fully up and ruining

Have all the resorts got fitted out with this (rooms) (all stars resorts)
Have all the parks got fitted?)
have you got the option of card or wristband?
If you have a wrist band do you need a card to prove you are staying on site for Magic Hours?

Are the card better than the onld room cards? i lost count the amount of times i had to go back and get the card re-programed last year.

have anyone seen it make a faster entry to parks?

I HAVE DONE A SEARCH USEING THE DIS SEARCH THINGY BUT NOT FOUND

Hope your all well and counting down your days togo

There really isn't much to go on right now as they are still in the testing stage, only certain hotels are eligible for the trials right now!
They will be called magic bands you will be able to choose your fp rides in advance but you won't be able to use normal fp aswell,

All resorts have RFID locks and all parks have some turnstiles which are RFID readers.

There are no wristbands at the moment - the first full public trial finishes today so they will collect and analyse the data. I personally (and I have no basis for this other than option and watching what they have been doing) expect at least one or two more test periods before roll out.

Entry to the parks was faster with RFID when it first came out as less people where using it but now all new tickets are issued on RFID cards at the parks, along with all AP holders and resort guests with passes on the KTTW there's not much in it! The biggest issue is there are 2 entry points per line but some people seem to just stop at the first and thereby block the second from use :confused3
