R Card? (Debate)

Now, I may not get around much, but I have NEVER heard of a strip club that did not sell alcohol!

In some areas the liquor board (or whatever it's called in your state) regulates how much clothing the entertainers have to wear. No liquor license means no regulation.

SOTM, someone has been selling you a line of BS, you only have to be 18 to play the PA lottery.

See there, you can have more fun than you thought...good luck playing! (remember me if you win ;))

What does nudity have to do with drinking alcohol? Maybe I'm dense but I don't see the logic of it being OK to BYOB to a place where total nudity is allowed but being able to buy a drink is somehow bad in these places.

Good question, I think it has more to do with ensuring the safety of the dancers than anything else (ie drunk people cause more trouble and think they are bulletproof). Or maybe the laws are to protect the customer from being rooked? But, honestly I am not totally sure.

All I know is that private clubs have gotten around the rules by allowing BYOB. It really doesn't make much sense..anyone else know?

No idea what the official rationale is, but IMO the real reasons are:

1) "They" can't stand the thought of naked AND alcohol together - heavens to mergatroid!

2) They also want as little skin as possible, and figure most places will want to serve alcohol for the profit margin.
