Did anyone see this? Wow, I reallllly thought that they would be a better price, given how they are the 'today's special value' and how CK made a big deal of it in the magazine and online. I planned on getting a few, but I think I can easily get coupon codes or sales thoughout the year that will be a better deal than this!

I read about it in CK, and I had headed in here to check on the price, but now that I saw your post, I don't have to! so, it's not a good deal??

I did not think it was that great of a deal either. Through my mom's church they have a program where you purchase gift certificates and the place you buy the certificates gives a percentage to the church. Shutterfly give 14%! So I would rather give the money to the church. And you are right, there are sales throughout the year anyway.

the 8x8 one was $33 instead of 39.99. I expected it to be much better than that...although, I supposed if someone was on the ban-wagon and wanted to do a photo book in 2009, it's technically a pre-purchase today so it wouldn't count....

I really don't think that sounds like a great deal, either! I thought they'd be 30-50% off during a special time period or something!! Just going to have to keep an eye out for coupons!

Tell me about the Memory Maker Slice die cutter they had on QVC at midnight? Worth the investment or am I better off with my Cricuts? I liked the fact that it was so portable.

The coupon codes for shutterfly during the year that I've gotten usually say you can't use them for the Creating Keepsakes albums. Don't forget that the shipping for the books is free, so that's extra money saved, plus the 8x8 had 5 extra pages, which would be an extra $5. However, I thought it was annoying that they couldn't just e-mail out the code, instead they sent out a packet with the code, and you had to pay shipping on *that*. Honestly, I thought it was going to be a better deal too, but my mom decided to order one anyway.
