QVC Scrapbook and Craft Fair

Okay, so I had to break my rule and order something else! I got the Brenda Walton 2500 Scrapbooking Kit with 3 Albums in Lavender. It is $43.92 and comes with:
12" x 12" monogram embossed scrapbook
6" x 6" embossed scrapbook
6" x 6" accordion book with button closure
409 paper die-cuts
651 large alphabet stickers
172 die-cut stickers
1,256 mini alphabets
24 12 x 12 papers
36 6 x 6 papers
23 dimensional stickers
85 clear domes
19 round and oval metal frames
41 rub-ons

Brenda Walton has the most adorable supplies and I couldn't resist. I was debating about ordering another TSV in Pink (I got beige the first time), but decided to order this instead. :) I'm only going to watch the rest of the night to get ideas... yeah right! :teeth:

We've been out all day so I haven't watched. . .yet! Now, I think I am going to have to turn it on! Maybe it will be over already and I won't feel like I need something! All of the stuff you all got sounds great. Stupid question, though, what is this perfect layers thing??

OT question for ilovedale3--where did you get all of your pictures of my favorite man on TV? I LOVE him!!! :rotfl:

1) Perfect Layers is this wonderful tool that they sell on QVC. It is designed to make mats or frames for your pictures. You can cut mats of several different widths and they come out straight and perfect every time. It is a great product, well worth the $19.xx whatever price. Go to QVC.com to check it out.

2) Is he really your favorite?!?! I'm soooo happy that someone else likes him too! Everyone else thinks he weird (my DH calls him "The Bug" since he was the roach alien in "Men in Black"!). I got the pics in my siggie from a Vincent D'Onofrio fan site that I found by searching for his pics through Google Images (http://pub.donofriofans.com/gallery)

Lewdyan1--- he's Vincent D'Onofrio... the hottest man on TV. He is on Law and Order: Criminal Intent and plays Det. Robert Goren.

My MIL bought me that kit for Christmas last year (or at least it sounds like the same kit). It is sooo beautiful but I still haven't used it yet! I love how pretty and floral Brenda Walton's stuff is!

Thanks...I really haven't heard of him, but I did see MIB and the bug guy scared me.

Back on topic: thanks for the good review of the perfect layer. I bought it and was hoping it would be as good as it looked! :cool1:

I got the pink TSV
and again I am debating the perfect layers -
everytime it is on I think about it!
So those of you who actually have it - is it worth it?

Perfect Layers is SOOOOO WORTH IT!!! I LOVE it and WON't scrap without it!!

BTW . . . I didn't buy ANYTHING today!!!! I am so proud of myself
:cheer2:

here is what i ended up buying:

sizzix paddle punch starter set
perfect layers
studio K paper stack

in the meantime im still waiting on my orders from

sizzix.com
creative express
laughing place

maybe i need to go on vacation so i can stop buying things!!

I did so well fighting the temptation to order anything lol I did end up getting the very last scrapping item they sold last night. It was the 2,000 piece scrap kit with a 12x12 and 8x8 book and the storage box. I got the Poppy (blue) one. I think it will be perfect for doing a book for my daughter :flower:

OK -
I ended up ordering
 hanging my head in shame
The alpha stamp thingie (kinda like a Libraby date stamp but the WHOLE alpha in 2 sizes)
3 of the TSV card kits  to think i didn't even want ANY when Maggie linked me to it a month ago - :confused3

JUSTIFICATION -
I NEVER know what to buy my mother and mother-in-law they need NOTHING so I figure I will make all the cards and give them the box and all the cards (and I will keep all those great mini albums!)
Thank heavens 2 of them are on backorder or whatever they call it at qvc so I don't pay til they ship!
I am suppose to go to a crop Saturday and I am hoping I will just get all the cards in mine finished then!

I only got to watch QVC a few mins in the morning and then again in the afternoon. DD is in our Youth Group at church and this weekend they had DiscpleNow which is a wknd spent doing mission work here locally. They went to Nashville and worked at shelter for homeless women and children. Myself and one other mom had to provide breakfast for approx 35 kids and 10 adult workers. Then came home and had to get ready to go to a cook out and picnic w/folks I work w/through my travel agency. When we got home a major thunderstorm came through and we were w/o power for almost an hour. However I did get to see several items some of you mentioned. I was VERY tempted by the kit that was offered in beige, pink & blue w/all the c/s. Also the framing and border kit. Tempted as I was, I didn't buy anything b/c I'm BROKE!!! Just spent over $300 for school supplies (DD14) needed a graphing calculator for algebra---$74 on sale at Staples! :earseek: and a few outfits to get my girls started in school tomorrow. Scrapbooking will have to take a back seat for a few more weeks! :confused3

Okay, it appears that they were using a Xyron for all their demo's on QVC yesterday. Which Xyron did they use? I'm thinking maybe I should get one. Suggestions?

Girl, break that thing out and use it. Its one of my better impulse buys. I love it.

I was out of town all day saturday, and would have been able to stay on the wagon , except some friend of mine ( who shall remain nameless - you know who you are ) posted about the stamp thing and I had to have it. Of course its on waitlist so who knows how long it will be before I get it. But thankfully it won't show up on my cc statement until later , which is a good thing since I just ordered from creative express, lifetimemoments and CM.
