I do a LOT of reading, but not much posting. I need some help, so I came to the experts.

We have been looking for a good quote to write on the space above our cabinets in our kitchen. One wall is 7ft and is connected onto the 9ft wall. The drop down is 10.5".

I'm looking for something relatively short, so that it could be large enough to read. It doesn't have to be kitchen themed. (I have two 6 year old boys, too, if that helps.) I want something a little unusual - not the same "Live, Laugh, Love, etc"

Do you have any favorite quotes or suggestions? (We searched too many sites and I think I'm in overload.

Thanks!

I have two: "let me drop everything to solve your problems" and "Whining, crying or outright blubbering or the likes thereof are STRICTLY PROHIBITED on these premises." :rotfl2:

I like these ones...

"This Kitchen Is Seasoned With Love"

"Meals and Memories are Made Here"

"Cooking Is Love Made Visable"

"Love And Cook With Wild Abandon"

My MIL has this over the sink...

"No Man Was Ever Shot While Doing The Dishes"

I like that! I may have to use the second above the outside entry door from our garage! The first is almost exactly what I say EVERY time I'm folding laundry.

Thanks!

No man was ever...

Too Funny and appropriate for our house! (Especially in a few years!)

Thanks

"M" is for Mom, not for Maid.

That's going up over the nook when I finish painting.
:thumbsup2

All I have to say to my kids is "M is for...." and they all obediently reply "MOM not maid we know we know" :rotfl2:

Do you have a particular heritage you want to reflect?

We had Slainte in our last kitchen it means "Cheers and Good Life" in Gaelic.
My smart aleck bunco friends were al placing bets on what it meant though one of them said we could be telling them all to take a hike and they'd never know the difference :rotfl2:

Ive seen some really nice ones done in Italian and Irish though. Maybe thats something you want to look at?
Do you have any friends who have a cricut? They oculd make you one of vinyl to put up there. Or you could go to the craft store to see what they have, I have used the MDF letters before and just painted them to match whatever project I was doing at the time.
