Quixtar?

I've seen the new commercials recently. Apparently we've dropped the Quixtar and gone back to AMWAY:confused3 And honestly from the commercials you can't even tell what the company is about.

I just joined AVON which is its own little MLM kind of thing, but there's no pressure for me to do any more than what i feel comfortable doing. So if i start a downline now great, if it comes later it comes later. And the meetings are at much more reasonable times. Like the dinner hour. I don't know about other places but around here AMWAY tends to schedule its meetings for Midnight at 1 of the IHOPS. And you can always tell who's showing up for the meeting. And why on earth does it keep changing its name? 123yrs and AVON is still AVON. Go figure that 1.

Wow, I could not believe my eyes when I seen this thread;).
We are no longer with Quixtar we did not have the time for all of it, we did not have a bad experience at all but just no time to worry about it. We loved all the products though. the makeup was Great and the vitamins were the best we have ever tried.
So I am not going to say anything bad about them except it is time consuming for sure,

I am hardly ever on the Dis anymore as i am just to busy but it was crazy to see a 6 year old thread of mine when i did.

Thanks for the update! My older brother who is basically a genius, extremely smart, been around the block a few times etc, etc approached me about Quixstar yesterday and that's why I hope dot ressurect this thread! I could hardly believe my ears yesterday when he was spouting off about it-I was quite shocked that he had become involved in it and was trying to recuit me.

I worked at Amway when Quixtar was launched, and left right after they changed the name to "Alticor." I was a customer service rep. who signed up new IBOs over the phone and online, and also provided technical support for the website. I allowed myself to get sucked into buying the kit for myself from a lady I talked to on the phone several times. She was super nice and all fired up for Amway, but like others have said, it really was more about buying the supplemental materials and signing up new people than selling the products. Fortunately for me, my only cost was the initial outlay of $140ish for the kit. I never did anything else with it.

As for the products themselves, I got an employee discount and could purchase from the company store. I liked the makeup, vitamins and cleaning products a lot, but not enough to keep buying them after I left the company.
