A few months ago, I posted by problem of how much notice to give my old job, since the bosses were on vacation. As it turned out, I waited till they returned and gave 1 week.
Fast foward to the new job I took with a person who used to be my office manager 16 years ago before he started his own business. Thought this would be a good place to work since I knew him and it was in a town that I had worked in for 25 years. Turned out to be horrible for various reasons. 1 main reason was my SIL used to work there (she left for a better job) and started telling my co-worker I was out to get her fired, then she told the boss stories about my co-worker, then she told me to watch my back with co-worker. Other things on how he handled his business bothered me too (screaming at my co-worker)
My prior boss called me as they were losing an employee, offered me my job back and I decided to take it as I THINK I will be happier. Cant be worse. Just wish me luck.
