How does this sound? We're looking to spend a few hours there before a long break and MVMCP. It's us, 2 kids, 2 grandparents, one w/and ECV. We want relaxing and not too crazy

There for rope drop - non-EMH say

group goes to Movie Ride
Group goes to Playhouse Disney - can we get the first show ifwe do the movie ride?
Group goes to Mermaid show, any down time between is spent looking for characters
Group goes to Backlot tour
Group rides Star tours (FP if needed)
Maybe sneak in some time at Honey I shrunk the kids play area
DH gets FP for RNRR for use later
Group goes to Sleeping Beauty
RNRR riders go ride it, more character spotting

Can we do all of that and leave by 1pm? We'd grab a light lunch back at the hotel

Depending on when you are going, it may be a better idea to get the FP for RNRC early in the day, it won't get you behind schedule. The FPs can usually be used after the time window has expired if needed and you can also then get a FP for TOT if so wanted.

I would go ahead and see Beauty and the Beast early, too, maybe after Mermaid, since it fills up faster than the backlot tour. The rides can always be worked in between if crowds are still low.

Unless you are completely pumped about the Backlot Tour you might even be able to skip it. My son (8) and I (28) found it to be very boring. I think the attraction has potential, but it was pretty lame in our opinion. Get you first set of FP early then go do other stuff. Star Tours might not even need FP, we never had more than a 10 minute wait and we rode it 12 times!
Good luck and have fun!

DS6 loves trams that's why we'd do the tour. Good to know about Star Tours.
