Quilting

Thanks. I'll post a picture of them when they are done.

Hand quilting is easy. In fact, I think it's much easier than machine quilting. I've started doing that ever since I got my "cadillac" of sewing machines. :hyper:

Hi all,

I am a newbie quilter. My best friend and I started a Quilting 1 class in Sept and now are onto Quilting 2...I am TOTALLY hooked.

I have made 1 wall hanging (simple stars), 2 Christmas table runners and now I am in the process of finishing a twin sized quilt (ribbons) for my eldest DD's dorm room when she goes off to college next year (it will be a Christmas gift, this year if I complete it in time, LOL). In Quiltmaking 2 we are working on another twin sized quilt (basket sampler).

I machine piece (rotary cut) and machine quilt. I eventually want to tackle handquilting, but not at this time because it would take me so long, I would probably lose interest.

I will try to post some pics soon....nice to see some other quilters here!!! I have learned so much in the past few months, tons from class and even more from making mistakes!!!!

I'm frantically working on my two wooden soldier wall hangings. I want them finished and hung for this Christmas holiday season. I have the one completely hand quilted and only have one more border to quilt around in the ditch on the other and then have to put on the binding. It's looking like they will be up in time!

:bounce:

Congrats QuiltTeddy!

I had to put my stuff away for the holidays, but will get it back out afterwards.

Don't forget to post the pictures! I would love to see them!

Happy Holidays!
