"Quiet" resorts

Aside from AKL, which resorts are more quiet and relaxing than the others?

I found the Beach Club to be really quiet. In fact, I felt like we were sort of out of our element there! Really quiet parlors and lobbies. Even more quiet and "adult" was the Yacht Club. Every time we went through the lobbies to get somewhere, I felt like I was in the Library.

Port Orleans Riverside, with their quiet walkways etc.

I found POFQ to be very quiet and relaxing. I've never stayed at POR, but I walked over there. Very nicely landscaped and I would assume it would be just as peaceful. For the deluxes, AKL, of course, and probably the Poly. I wouldn't choose any of the values though. The time of year you go also has to be taken into consideration. I like going in September, after Labor Day. I'll be at AKL 9/4 to 9/14. Can't wait!

I loved the Polynesian.

I'll bet you get a myriad of answers. I believe it depends on the clientel that are present during your stay. If you go when all the kids are in school then it may be quieter.

I'm surprised a few of you have mentioned the Poly as a quiet resort! When we went there to eat, I thought the whole place was bustling with excitement.

Could just be the time of day we went there, though.

I've stayed at the Poly twice, and didn't find it to be quiet at all. Beautiful, and bustling.

If you're eligible to stay there, we've found Shades of Green to be a quiet resort.

...I'd have to mention Coronado Springs and the Grand Floridian.

CS may be a tad more peaceful ... it sprawls all over the place, and you can walk for what seems like MILES without seeing more than handful of people.

But the GF has wonderful common areas between the lodge buildings that are beautifully landscaped and themed. I used to LOVE going out on the patio outside the Gasparilla Grill in the early morning to sip my coffee, eat my cereal and say "Good morning" to the ducks.

BTW: Who thought the Beach Club was quiet and relaxing??!!! Step into the lobby around meal time and it's like Grand Central Station, with people jammed together outside the Cape May Cafe for breakfast or dinner. Good luck finding a place to sit!

My husband and I found POFQ to be very peaceful and relaxing when we stayed there last year.

The Swan was one of the quietest rooms we ever had. It seems that when you close the door your room becomes a haven. In 7 nights, we never heard a noise in the hall.

My DBF and I stayed at CBR in October and it was so peaceful. It was very spread out which makes it feel less crowded and more peaceful. Also they have small beach areas w/ hammocks that were very nice to take a walk on or relax in the hammocks. And best of all it really had that Caribbean feel!!!

Another vote for POFQ here. Very quiet, especially with a top floor lagoon view. It was so relaxing to head there after the parks - we didn't feel like we were in Disney. I would request a room away from the pool though, that area was slightly more noisy. We also have only gone off season except for once (August), but still, it was quiet in a lagoon view away from the pool.

I just got back from the Poly yesterday, and it was very quiet! We didn't hear anything, we were even by both pools and didn't hear a thing & it was very relaxing to rest in the hamocks by the beach

I think the most peaceful we have stayed at was OKW. sitting out on our balcony overlooking the lake - there wasn't a person in site. Wonderful!!!!

I would almost not recommend OKW to anyone with kids 6 to 16 since it was too quiet for their tastes.

Poly on the other hand was the noisest of them all - kids, kids and more kids. Seriously the pools were MOBBED - you couldn't swim, just tread water and hope not to get splashed or knocked in the head with a foam noodle There is never a lounge chair to sit on and forgets the hammocks. It is a fun place but there is no where to relax. We stayed at the Hawaii building and even at night, teens were out on the hammocks laughing, playing around and could easily be heard from our 3rd floor. Kids running down the interior halls at 6am screaming and yelling. The sand smoother machine out in full force by 7am. I didn't bother us as we were looking for a fun vacation for our 3yr old but there is NO WAY I would stay there for a quiet time.

I have heard CSR and POR are two very quiet and relaxing resorts.

The "quiet" pool at WL was one of the most peaceful and relaxing places we've been to. Nestled among trees with great stereo speakers (hidden of course) playing just the right music!

YOU ARE ALL WRONG!!!!!

Absolutely,positively most quiet resort is Boardwalk Villas.

the Quiet pool never has more than 5 people at it. You can have your pick of chairs, tables and swim away without practically anyone else.

the jacuzzi by the quiet pool is usually empty.
I went this past June and never had anyone else around.

however, the main pool is quiet with small children....

BW is beautiful, wonderfully themed and landscaped and when sitting in jacuzzi at night you can hear fantasmic ....but the best part is sitting in a rocking chair in front of the resort watching and listening to the boats in the water..

Well, that's it. Since ya'll can't come to a consensus, I'm just going to have to try a different resort every year!
