Any reccomendations for a quiet place to have an early dinner in Epcot? We will have tired, but hopefully well-behaved kids with us. I would definitely prefer a sit-down place.

Thanks!

If they are tired there is a good chance that they may not be well behaved. There are tons of good CS options and lots of quiet places to sit outside all around Epcot.

I agree. We'll definitely play it by ear with the kids and if they're acting up one of us will go ahead and take them to a counter services place instead. But there are adults in our party that have food issues (one is a vegetarian, the other a total food snob, another just plain picky) and they will want to eat at a sit down place. If we had more time we'd just eat at a resort (which gives us a bit more variety), but some people want to see Illuminations after dinner.

San Angel and LeCellier can be fairly quiet in the early evening. Food is not bad, either. Don't let your desire for Illuminations keep you from dining at one of the Epcot resorts. Boardwalk has some really nice restaurants, as does Yacht Club and Swan/Dolphin. They are a short boat ride from Epcot, and can get you back in plenty of time to get a good viewing spot. Flying Fish is a great, albeit expensive, alternative to WS. Early, it will be quiet, the food excellent, and a nice respite from the parks.

I would go to Coral Reef.

Food is good and you have the awesome tank to keep the kids
entertained....ask to be near the glass.

Le Cellier is pretty quiet in the mid-afternoon, early-evening. I also recommend Nine Dragons, but it isn't the most quiet place in the world. :)

The only place in Epcot with a real chance of being quiet most of the time is Bistro D' Paris.

I second the suggest of Coral Reef. It is amazing how entertaining the tank is for children. If they are overtired, they may just want to stare at the tank. It's very calming. The restaurant is not high energy and can be very quiet compared to the other restaurants. And it's also dimly lit. The children may even fall asleep.

Well I really liked our dinner at Restaraunt Marrakesh. menu link: http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/dining/diningdetail.cfm?restaurant.ID=370

Maybe not exactly quiet, they have a bellydancer, but good food for the adults, and chicken fingers for picky kids :thumbsup2 Do
check out the menu though as it looked like there was only 1 vegetarian entree.

We just got back from a 5 day trip. We had TS at Teppen Edo, Coral Reef, Restaurant Marrakesh, Cape May and Wolfgang Puck. Coral Reef is my kids' favorite. We had lunch there. It was not really busy when we got there. But we were seated farthest away from the tank. My husband asked to seat closer to the tank. We were first told it was not possible. But we were moved right after we settled down on our seats.

My boys were entertained by sharks, a giant turtle and sting rays passing by. There were screaming little kids around us. But most people do not mind too much. Also the lobster soup the kids got there are the most memorable food for them. They mostly had chicken strips, pizza and ice cream everywhere we went.

Since coming back last week- I can't say enough good things about TOkyo DIning. It was peaceful- yet quick (but not rushed). Everyone was so polite, it was pretty and all the food we had was terrific. It will work for veggies, foodies (esp if they like sushi) and the kids.

Marrakesh is often not too crowded and noisy. The restaurant itself is stunning and there is entertainment -- musicians and a belly dancer. We always enjoy it. Other than Bistro de Paris, every other place in Epcot, now, is terribly crowded and noisy with extremely close seating.

Le Cellier is great as is Bistro De Paris, although the kids may not like French food! The Biergarten is alot of fun and entertaining, not terribly quiet, but the food is good, the service is good and the house band is fun to watch. If the kids are "in between" tired and cranky, it's quiet enough for some down time, but still fun. Alfredo's over in Italy is also very good, but pricey and no longer on the DDP.

I certainly wouldn't take tired children to Bistro. In all the times I've eaten there, I've never seen any children. There is no children's menu and nothing that would keep them entertained. It is quiet, yes, because it's not a place for most children. And the diners will not be wearing park attire there.

I think the days of finding quiet dining at WDW are a thing of the past unless you just get lucky. We were there 2 weeks ago and the parks were empty but all of the sit down meals were crowded and busy.
