Quiet New Years Eve

We are planning on doing animial kingdom on new years eve and head back home (BCV) to bring in the evening. Any ideas about a place around boardwalk/beach club that would be tame that night. Sorry but we are too boring to be out all night--besides we have stuff to do the next day.

We're not doing any parks on the 31st, but will enjoy other parts of the Disney area instead. We decided to have an early dinner at Cape May on NYE and then see what's up on the Boardwalk that evening. We're staying at BWV, so we'll be nice and close to "home." We made our PS at Cape May a couple months ago to make sure we had no problems getting in there. This will be our first NYE at WDW, so it's all new to us. Maybe we'll see you around the BWV/BCV area that evening.

We stayed at the BWV for the millenium celebration.
That New Years Eve they had their own fireworks over crescent lake as well as a DJ set up on the lawn and entertainers walking around the Boardwalk such as stilt walkers and balloon magicians.
We could also see the EPCOT fireworks from our balcony. If I remember they were also giving out noisemakers and hats to people.
It really was a nice way to celebrate without being in the mad crush of one of the parks.
I am not sure if they would have as much going on this year or if that was special because of the millenium but it sure was fun!

That is a wise move to do AK New years eve day. That is what we did and the park was absolutely empty. We were the only ones on the bus in the morning and the driver said. "You made a good choice. Every other park is going to be packed"

If you are looking for dining options there are many close by. I would recommend Cape May at the BC. It has an outstanding buffet.
