What would you choose? Some quite days (3 or 4) mid October (Halloween Season) with no school holidays and probably no special opening times, or the same amount of time about New Years Eve with a lot of people and much colder weather. :confused3

I spent last new years eve at the dh and had a great time and would definatley go back for nye again. The lines for rides were fine in the morning but got much busier later in the day we were staying in the castle club so had vip fastpasses for some rides. We went back into the park about 9.30pm on nye and it was packed(getting close to dangerous) They shut fantasyland and fronterland (dont know about the others) before the fireworks so everbody was on main street, we left and went back up to the castle club lounge to watch the fireworks. The atmosphere in the hotel was great with face painters, jugglers, magicians etc. The parks were quite quiet the next morning as most people opted for a lie in.

I have never been in october but the scottish schools are on holiday from 12 October-23 October and I think the english holidays are from 19 October-29 October so bear that in mind.

Hope this helps

Thank you K&C for your answer. When we were on NYE 2003/2004 it was also very busy! And they have to shut FL and Frontierland for the fireworks preparation! That's why Mainstreet gets very crowded from 10pm onwards. After 10:30pm you can't find a place to sit at not even a window still or something similar!

@ Ware Bears: This is not a real plan. We are just thinking if we should go to DLRP in the second part of 2007. And if yes we don't no what to choose Mid October or NYE!
But if we go on NYE we can never afford DLH or even CC! So there is no chance for a VIP FP! But we want to stay at one of the Disney Hotels!

October for sure - that's when we are going and having been there last year at that time we think it's the best time. The reduction in crowds is a massive bonus and the Halloween theming is just the best. We do like Christmas at DLRP but the weather is just so cold and on busy days it's too busy.

BTW - I finally have the disc of the July 2005 photos in high res if you still want that Tarzan photo. If you do, could you remine me, again, which one it was?

I'm probably the only Scotsman who doesn't like New Year; although love Christmas season at DLP :goodvibes So October would be my vote :thumbsup2
