Quiet character meal recommendation

Hi! I was asked a question by my cousin and I am really not sure the best answer. She is taking her daughter in November and wants to take her to a character breakfast. Her daughter is 4 and loves characters like Mickey. Minnie, Goofy, etc. She does not have any interest in the princesses. The problem is that she is very sensitive to loud noises and they really upset her. She does not take dance anymore because the studio got to loud. So I am looking for quiet character meal suggestions with Mickey, etc. I was thinking Tusker House, Ohana, Cape May or Garden Grove in the Swan. I have never been to any of these so I was wondering if anyone could give me an idea of what the most low key and calm restaurant is.

Thanks!

I am not sure there is any such thing as a quiet character meal. All of them are filled with excited children. I wouldn't do one that has a musical interlude with dancing and napkin waving, like Chef Mickey's does.

I am not sure if any of the breakfasts you list do something like this.

Based on past experience, I think Cape May would be best, it's a very refined breakfast (or at least it was when we were there!!.) The venue is not too huge and we saw the characters 3 times!!!

There is another thread going on right now that mentions that the Garden Grill is a calmer place to see some Characters.

Totally agree with the Cape May Cafe recommendation! We do the chatacter breakfast every trip and we are 2 adults without kids, so we prefer the more subdued character experiences. It's nice with great food and character interaction! You'll see Minnie, Goofy, and Donald and we see them more than once each time!

i going to also say cape may cafe! we were just there in march. we had a ressie for 10am it was very low key. Mickey minnie and Goofy were there. Hope they have a great trip!

We went to Cape May and Garden Grille last trip, and both are definitely calmer experiences than say, Chef Mickeys or Crystal Palace. I would make my ADR time for as soon as they open as possible.

Another vote for Cape May - this is the quietest character breakfast I've been to and the most enjoyable in my opinion. Most of her favorite characters will be there.

I would definitely avoid Chef Mickey's - that is probably the loudest!

I would suggest trying to get the first meal of the day- since they slowly fill up the restuarant - you generally can see the characters a little quicker and then they could leave before it got too crowded as well.

Still another vote for Cape May. I've been there several times, and it's always relatively calm and quiet.

Garden Grill Hands down. Very Quiet, Characters come one at a time...even Chip and Dale. No Singing, no dancing!

I'd be curious to hear from those who've had the character meal at Garden Grove in Swan. I would think there would be less people, which would automatically lower the noise level. I've never eaten there though. Maybe, someone who has will share a review.

The one time I ate at Garden Grill it had a nice atmosphere... not loud at all. Our experience at CMC was horrible. A couple seemed to think it was cute that their little girl wanted to climb over the back of our seat, then jump down beside me. Over & over again... Mind you, these people were total strangers to us. :sad2: I wouldn't judge any restaurant by that experience. Fortunately, experiences like that are rare. I also wouldn't go into any character meal expecting a low key experience.

All that said, in your friend's case, I would go with dinner at Garden Grill. I think that's the safest choice. That is, if no one chimes in on Garden Grove.

Cape May, especially towards the end of breakfast, after maybe 9 or 9:30 am. I had a 9:15 reservation last September during free dining, and it was half empty and they were taking walkups. Cape May has several small dining rooms that all run together, so there aren't so many people in any given one.

Cape May is definitely your best bet as far as the noise level goes. The food is also great...especially the honey yogurt

Garden Grill Dinner. It is by far the quietest I've been to. It also has great character interaction. You get Mickey, Pluto, Chip & Dale.

My vote goes to the Cape May, the food is good and the characters include Minnie, Goofy, Chip n Dale and Donald, all in all a great family atmosphere and not as hectic as some of the other breakfasts.:goodvibes
