Quidco?

I've heard quite a few people on the UK boards mention the website Quidco from time to time when purchasing different things.

Can someone explain to me what this site is about? And how do you go about using it? Sounds interesting and if I can save some cash (this is about all I've gathered that you can do there!) here and there it's always helpful I suppose

It's really easy. You just sign up and then go through the Quidco site when you buy anything. They list all of the participating companies on their website. You pay £5 a year to be a member but only if you earn £5 in that year. I bought my AA membership through them. My renewal was £114 for roadside and relay. A new policy online for roadside, relay and homestart was £100, so I did this and went through Quidco where I got £60 cashback. A no-brainer really.

Thanks Joolz! And it's completely safe to use? As in, they'll hold your account details and put money back in there whenever you buy via their site? I'll possibly give it a whirl for my car insurance. It's due August!

I've been using it for ages. They pay your money into your account using BACS and it's all safe and completely secure. I use it for all sorts of things, feelunique.com play.com waterstones AA etc. Definitely give it a whirl.

I signed up for this as well today, but to be honest, didnt have a clue what I was doing so Im glad you asked the question, and thanks from me as well to all that answer. I noticed as well that they are starting to add stores that you can actually go in and shop in person and get the cashback, as well as shop online, but not that many as yet.

I'm glad it's not just me Sue! I thought I was being daft!

Still can't find my way around very well, but I'm sure we'll pick it up once we find something we're interested in!

I use Rpoints not as easy to use but better sucess rate at paying out. I have a few not tracked with Quidco but its the same idea cashback site.
Everyone that buys anything on the net shoud register. Been with Rpoints since 2004 now had £2,342.32 cashback. Quidco had £58.03 So £2,400 total.

Some of latest transactions, got £90 cashback from Vodafone for buying a £10/month SIM card (12 month contract incl loads of mins & texts)
AA breakdown cost £121.45 for 2 of us £50 cashback
Walt Disney Travel Company spent £2747.00 got £123.62 cashback.
Even little things like M&S £57.60 earned £1.73.

Its easy, its free and its money for nothing.

I've been with Quidco for a couple of years now (thanks to Wayne! ) used it for loads and loads of things, my biggest payouts were £150 odd from Virgin Holidays, £80 from M&S for new sofas and £60 for changing our fuel provider, but it's amazing how much the little purchases add up ........ Littlewoods, HMV, Play.com, New Look, M&S, Jessops, PC World etc etc. I've only ever had one transaction that didn't track and when I queried it, it did.

I changed ours about 3-4 months ago, £100 cashback but then I got a phone call from original suppliers saying why had I changed they had just brought out a cheaper tariff not showing on the comparison websites yet so I changed back again. The £100 was still paid out

Another vote for Quidco from me! Where else can you get free money?! I change our energy provider every year - always onto a cheaper tariff, and usually about £100 cashback, plus my car and home insurance - anything up to about £80 each. Then there is Ebay, M&S, loads of holiday companies, All Saints, Habitat....If it is money you are spending anyway, why not? It does get a bit obsessive, I am loathe to buy anything unless I go through Quidco!

I use Quidco a lot, there are also price comparison sites on there like Kelkoo and if you use them they pay you 20p, I know it's only 20p but if you quickly go on and search for the cheapest place to but the Brits Guide for example everyday then that's £72.80 over the year - just for clicking on a site.

I love it - have earned about £400 cashback in 18 months - thanks to an initial recommendation from Wayne - thanks!

I even had £45 cashback from TCD from the holiday we booked two days before they went bust - took the edge off the disappointment a bit.

I don't buy anything online now without checking Quidco first.
