Where
July 11-16 - 2 bedroom VWL - ground floor unit. It was wonderful and we enjoyed our stay here immensely.
July 16-21 - standard room at POP - ground floor in 70's building, facing the lake. GREAT location...fairly close to the lobby but quiet.

DDP first 5 days only - table service:
Chef Mickey's - great character interaction, food okay. We felt a little cramped at the table.
Ohana's - DGS had a meltdown so it was not fun for us...but food was great.
Hollywood and Vine - another great character interaction experience and the food was fine. DGS loved this place.
Le Cellier - We were seated at a table that would comfortably fit four at the most. Five of us with a high chair just didn't work. Cheddar soup was great, but filet was SALTY...and I like my salt. This meal was our biggest disappointment.
Trails End Buffet - for a late breakfast on our last day...food was basic but this was our most relaxed and enjoyable table service meal. We had a nice sized table and it was not loud nor crowded.

Counter service:

Roaring Forks at WL - basic food, flatbreads were a hit.
Cosmic Rays - again, basic food but good variety.
Restaurantosaurus - chicken was good.
We split up at Epcot...I got the cheese plate at France, others went to Japan or had burgers at America.

Parks:

I expected hot and crowded, and it was definitely hot but not as crowded as I thought it would be. We definitely benefitted by getting to the parks early, even though some of our group rebelled by Day 3 (Studio day). They wanted to sleep in, which robbed us of our chance to ride TSM that day (120 minute wait and no more fast passes). Lots of Brazilian tour groups! We learned to avoid them...if we saw them in line somewhere, we bypassed that attraction until later. And we quickly learned NOT to stand behind a tour group leader in a fastpass line.

Buses:

No problems with buses. In fact I think this is the first trip EVER where I never had to stand on a bus.

Overall, we had a fairly uneventful trip with minimal problems. I had an intestinal bug on days 2-4, but nothing that slowed me down. I just had to keep aware of bathroom locations! DH had some asthma symptoms due to the heat and humidity. I wore my teva mush flip flops almost every day and my feet and back felt fine. DGS LOVED meeting Buzz Lightyear and IASW was his favorite ride. He enjoyed the resort pools most of all.
