If you are going to the World Showcase from the Studios, you might consider walking. That would take about 30 minutes gate to gate for walkers who move at an average speed. However, I wouldn't recommend this for parties with young children or those who are already tired and moving slow, even if they were in a hurry!

Another option is to take the boat between MG and EPCOT (International Gateway entrance). If you can board a boat that is just about to leave, it might be a little easier on tired feet than walking the entire way. If you get off at the first stop (Swan/Dolphin dock) and walk the rest of the way to the International Gateway, it won't take much longer (5 minutes, top) than walking the entire way. Taking the boat the entire way is not faster than the bus. However, it might end up about the same as the bus if your destination at ECPOT is the World Showcase. The MGM - EPCOT bus will let you off at the bus stops near the front entrance (Future World).

Unless there is a bus already at stop 6, I think walking betweeen MGM and EPCOT is the quickest - assuming that your EPCOT destination is the World Showcase and you are OK with walking about a mile to a mile and one half.

The quickest way from MGM to AK is to take a cab.

The second quickest way is to have a rental car available to you

The third quickest way is the bus. The bus may be just as fast as the cab or rental car, if you get lucky and it is at the stop when you arrive.

The quickest way from MGM to Epcot (International Gateway) is to wear a pair of running shoes and run over.

The next quickest is a cab.

After that a rental car.

Then the boat or the bus. It takes about thirty or fourty minutes to ride the boat between the parks, stopping at the resorts. Plus the wait if the boat isn't there.
