Quickest way from AK to MK?

After our day at the AK in December, we want to hop over to the MK for the tree lighting. Is there a direct bus, or do we have to go someplace else and transfer?

Best way is take the bus to the Contemporary and walk over from there or take bus to GF and monorail from there.
