quickest way from ak to epcot?

I am making our travel arrangements and need your help.
I am going to go to the animal kingdom for the first half of the day and then jump over to epcot. My question is: Is there anyway of parking at epcot and getting over to the animal kingdom, then when done, getting back to epcot. I would love to have the car at epcot in a pretty good stop.
Is this worth it? Should we just drive to the animal kingdom and then drive to epcot?

There is a bus service between the AK and EPCOT, so yes, you can park at EPCOT and then take a bus to and from the AK. I'd estimate this option would take about 15 minutes.

I don't know if it is better/faster to drive between parks and move your car. If you don't have strollers/wheelchairs/ECVs to worry about, I'd recommend the bus as I think it would be faster. JMHO. YMMV.

Problem is AK opens at 8 or 9 (depending on time of year) and Epcot does not open until 10 and thus bus from Epcot to AK may not be available early in the morning. However, it is very easy to drive to AK and park and then get back to car and drive to Epcot and park; in fact that would be better and faster overall than trying to park at Epcot and then take bus to AK even if the bus was available. Parking lots are outside main gates at Epcot and AK and it is just a short tram ride from car to main gate and back. If you are staying on site parking is free; if staying off-site, it is $6 but you can switch lots with your receipt and thus only pay once.

If you are staying on proporty take your car to YC catch bus to AK then bus back to YC then walk to epoct Only works if you are staying on proporty. I always park at the YC walk to epcot and Boat to MGM this way if you stay till close for ether park you miss a lot of tarffic

My experience the last two years is that bus service from AK to other parks is not as good as it is from other parks. This year we're going to drive to AK, and from AK to wherever we're hopping. Last March we lost 1.5 hrs getting from AK to MGM attempting to hop about 1 pm, and our week was not very crowded at all.

Have you done this recently?

First of all, it doesn't seem right that people who are actually staying at the YC/BC have to compete with those who are not for a parking place. JMHO.

My understanding is that since the construction started for the BCV, parking at the YC/BC Hotels is much more closely monitored. Apparently, there is now less parking space. I've heard that Disney is discouraging people who are NOT staying at the YC/BC from parking there to go to the parks, and that guests who want to eat at one of the restaurants are given 3 hour parking passes. This seems to be especially true in the mornings. Some posters have also reported that Disney will tow vehicles without a parking pass or a BC/YC resort parking pass. I don't know if that is true, but I would not want to chance it. Again, JMHO. YMMV.
